In the battle of the pickups, the Toyota Hilux continued in the lead with 1,307 units and was again escorted patented by Volkswagen up Amarok who patented 1,068. The Ford Ranger with 788 completed the podium while ago ranked the Chevrolet S-10 (451) and the Nissan Frontier (247).
Among the SUVs and 4 × 4, the Honda C-RV was again the most preferred with 327 units and still comfortably in the lead of the segment. The Toyota SW4 was again second with 157 while the Chery Tiggo once took center stage on the podium with 146. Ranked fourth with 142 the Dodge Journey.
The same applies to the Hilux: the emergence of new players was known by all and there was no reaction (ie a facelift or a change of strategy) to avoid putting in jeopardy the domain of the pick-up of the market leader at the hands of Volkswagen Amarok.
